The Role

• Lead medical standards and clinical protocols to ensure consistently high-quality care
• Provide hands-on clinical work in general practice, including wellness, diagnostics, dentistry, internal medicine, and soft-tissue surgery
• Mentor and support veterinarians; foster a collaborative, learning-focused culture
• Oversee medical record quality, controlled substance compliance, and case follow-through
• Partner with hospital leadership on workflow, staffing, scheduling, and client service
• Guide inventory and equipment planning with attention to clinical value and ROI
• Engage in client communication, staff training, and community education
• Contribute to after-hours support or on-call coordination as needed
• Monitor key performance indicators and help implement improvements that elevate patient care and client experience

Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
• License to practice (or eligibility for licensure) in Kentucky
• DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain and maintain)
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• 3+ years of clinical experience strongly preferred, with proven competency in general medicine, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery
• Leadership aptitude with strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
