Supply Technician

The Supply Technician supports the daily receipt, inspection, accountability, storage, and processing of Army equipment being turned in by units at a contractor-operated site. This role ensures compliance with U.S. Army supply regulations, technical manuals, and contract requirements, whilemaintainingaccuraterecords in Armylogisticssystems. The Supply Technician isdirectly responsiblefor verifying documentation, updating property records, andassistingin the smooth execution of the Army’s property accountability mission. Responsibilities This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines Turn-In & Receiving Operations: Process equipment and materiel turn-ins from U.S. Army unitsin accordance withAR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DA PAM 710-2-1. Verify turn-in documentation (e.g., DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts) for accuracy and completeness. Conduct visual inspections and apply correct condition codes (A–H) for serviceability. Identify, segregate, and properly tag unserviceable, reparable, or excess items. Accountability & Records Management: Ensuretimelyandaccurateentries into Armylogisticssystems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP. Assistin inventory reconciliation, discrepancy research, and property adjustments. Maintain accountability of all equipment andmaterialthroughout the turn-in process. Support audits, Property Accountability Reviews (PARs), and inspections by the COR or Army officials. Warehousing & Material Handling: Safely store, stage, and organize equipment in designated warehouse or yard areas. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (MHE) asrequired. Follow Army and OSHA standards for HAZMAT handling, load securement, and workplace safety. Coordination & Customer Service: Provide assistance tounit supply personnel during the turn-in process. Coordinate with supervisors, Quality Assurance staff, and transportation personnel to ensuretimelyprocessing of equipment. Communicate effectively with Army representativesregardingdocumentation, discrepancies, andrequiredcorrective actions. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Basicproficiencyin the English language (reading and writing). Knowledge of Army logistical functions. 2–4 years oflogistics, warehousing, or supply experience (Army or contractor environment preferred). Familiarity with Army turn-in, supply, or property accountability operations strongly desired. Army supply and property regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1). Armylogisticssystems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP). Equipment,conditioning,codingand serviceability classification standards. Ability to interpret and process supply documentation (DA and DD forms). Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to operate MHE safely andmaintainproper storage practices. Effective communication and teamwork skills in a high-volume environment. Must have a REAL ID. Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance. Must be able to obtain andmaintaina Common Access Card (CAC). Must be able to obtain Tier1/ NACI(Publictrust) background eligibility. Employees maybe requiredto perform other duties as assigned. Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results. Physical Demands & Work Environment: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform routine standing, walking, bending, and reaching tasks in warehouse and field environments. Must also meet all physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties, including working in extreme heat or cold, high, or low humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, heights, and other inclement weather conditions.
