The ideal candidate requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and global partners.BenefitsCompetitive salary up to $65,000Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunities within a global organizationKey ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage international import shipments via air and ocean freightPrepare and process import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, arrival notices, delivery orders, etc.)Ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations and international trade lawsCommunicate with carriers, airlines, steamship lines, customs brokers, and overseas agents to arrange shipments and track cargoProvide shipment updates and customer support to clientsMonitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, customs holds, or other issuesCoordinate customs clearance and ensure proper classification of goodsMaintain accurate records in the transportation management system (TMS)Coordinate with internal departments (warehouse, customs brokerage, accounting)Ensure billing accuracy and timely invoicingQualifications2+ years of experience in import freight forwarding (air and/or ocean)Strong knowledge of import documentation and proceduresFamiliarity with U.S. import compliance regulations and customs clearance proceduresExperience with freight forwarding software (e.g., CargoWise, Magaya, or similar)Excellent communication and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilities
