Economics Adjunct Instructor

Job Responsibilities The faculty member reports directly to the Department Head. The primary responsibilities include teaching courses with systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, advising and recruiting students, participating in departmental activities, and performing other duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements Master’s degree in economics or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in economics courses. Graduate or superior level credentials that reflect a high quality of academic work. Compliance with application requirements, including submission of unofficial transcripts when requested. Possession of any certifications required for the position, with official transcripts or credentials to be provided upon hire. Preferred Qualifications Work and teaching experience in economics. Proficiency in a learning management system such as D2L. Experience in teaching, teamwork, leadership, goal setting, workplace personal communication, online instruction, and web-enabled education. Ability to teach varied schedules and at multiple locations, utilizing technology and diverse teaching methods. Adaptability to environments characterized by continual changes in information technology. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
