Overview Holston Valley Medical Center – position number AP-Physician-0003 located at 130 W Ravine Rd Kingsport, Tennessee 37660. 300+ Acute Care Beds with 40+ ICU/PCU, 20+ partially open ICU/PCU, and 10+ Cardiac ICU/PCU. Multifaceted support across specialties. Hospitalist services for medicine and cardiac patients. Dedicated NP/PA admission. Responsibilities Provide inpatient care to acute patients, including medicine and cardiac populations. Supervise and coordinate care for nurses, PAs, and NPs. Participate in Code/Rapid Response Teams and rapid response management. Maintain accurate EMR entries using Epic system. Fulfill credentialing and compliance requirements. Requirements Current state medical license, active DEA, and board certification in hand. For non‑ABEM providers, NRP required. Graduate from an accredited 4‑year medical school (MD) or an accredited osteopathic school (DO) with 3‑year residency training. ECFMG required for foreign graduates. Active unrestricted TN medical license and DEA with TN address plus schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, 5. Board certification as per ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, American Board of Physician Specialties, or American Osteopathic Association. Merit badges: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not board certified in Emergency Medicine). Immunizations: MMR/Varicella vaccination or titers, TB test within 12 months, chest X‑ray if TB positive. Case logs for last two years; CME/CEU such as Preeclampsia–Eclampsia CME required at initial application and biennially. Required to supervise NP’s and PA’s. Schedule Evening shifts: 10‑hr (7 a‑5 p) and 12‑hr (7 a‑7 p, 7 p‑7 a) with 7‑on/7‑off schedule. Dates Needed Position starts 2026‑08‑01.
