Real Estate Attorney

A prestigious Am Law 100 law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior-level Real Estate Attorney with a strong construction law background to join its New York team.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience advising owners and developers on sophisticated commercial and residential construction matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise owners and developers throughout all phases of construction projects
• Draft and negotiate construction, design, engineering, and consulting agreements
• Negotiate right-of-entry, access, and closeout agreements
• Advise clients on construction claims and project-related issues
• Resolve construction disputes outside of arbitration and litigation
• Apply New York construction law and New York Lien Law
• Support clients on sophisticated real estate development matters

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant construction law experience
• Strong law firm experience representing owners and developers
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating construction agreements
• Strong knowledge of New York construction law and Lien Law
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional legal drafting ability
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active New York Bar admission and in good standing
• Strong academic and professional credentials
