Algorithm Engineer

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What you'll do: Develop and mature mission planning, multi-platform coordination, and onboard decision-making algorithms Design and implement path and motion planning algorithms for single- and multi-agent systemsDevelop optimization and decision-making approaches for operation under uncertaintyIntegrate algorithms with the broader onboard software stackValidate system behaviors through simulation and field testingCollaborate with perception, navigation, and integration teams to field robust multi-agent systemsWhat you need: Strong proficiency in C++ and PythonExperience with path/motion planning algorithmsExperience with multi-agent or distributed coordination algorithmsExperience with optimization and decision-making under uncertaintyExperience with ROS 2Bonus Qualifications: Experience fielding multi-agent systems on real hardwareBackground in subscale aircraft, robotics, or autonomy applicationsExperience with simulation environments for multi-agent testingArcher is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to job applicants with physical or mental disabilities, and those with sincerely held religious beliefs.
