Service DispatcherAble Heating and Air in Culpeper has an immediate opening for an experienced Service Dispatcher to manage the daily schedules of our service technicians and help ensure all customer commitments are met. You will manage appointments, prioritize incoming calls, match technicians to jobs based on skill level and location, and maintain clear communication among customers, technicians, and department managers.Schedule, prioritize, and dispatch service and maintenance callsMonitor technicians' progress and adjust schedules throughout the dayKeep customers informed of appointment times, delays, and service updatesPrepare estimates, schedule approved work, and coordinate return visitsCommunicate with warehouse staff to ensure technicians have the necessary parts and materialsMaintain accurate customer records, job notes, invoices, timesheets, and dispatch ticketsMonitor open work orders and follow through to completionAssist with workload planning, maintenance scheduling, and parts orderingCollaborate with technicians and department managers to support efficient daily operationsQualifications:At least two years of administrative, process-management, or project-management experience; HVAC or a similar trade industry is preferredPrior dispatching experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool service, or another trade is strongly preferredExperience using dispatching or field-service software preferredAbility to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writingProficiency in Word, Excel, and OutlookStrong organizational, follow-through, and attention-to-detail skillsAbility to prioritize multiple calls and responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentConfident decision-making and problem-solving skillsCustomer-focused attitude and ability to build positive rapportAbility to work collaboratively with technicians, managers, and office staffDependability and availability to work the required schedule, including seasonal overtimeCandidates will be required to pass a background upon being given a conditional offer of employment
