Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Materials Planning Manager to lead materials planning, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply-demand balancing activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience and a proven ability to improve material availability, inventory performance, and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead materials planning strategies, demand forecasts, supply planning, and inventory plans.
• Manage and develop materials planning teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Lead cross-functional planning reviews covering demand, supply constraints, inventory, backlog, and service levels.
• Drive inventory optimization, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and reduction of excess/obsolete materials.
• Partner with Operations, Procurement, Production Planning, Logistics, Customers, and Executive Leadership.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks while ensuring material availability for production schedules.
• Support S&OP, capacity planning, demand management, and strategic supply chain initiatives.
• Analyze complex planning and inventory data to support business-critical decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, manufacturing, or related areas.
• Proven experience managing or leading materials planning teams.
• Strong expertise in demand forecasting, inventory management, supply planning, and S&OP.
• Experience in high-volume or complex manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Excel and data analytics skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Automotive, Medical Device, Aerospace, or Industrial Manufacturing
• Global supply chain experience
• ERP/MRP implementation experience
