At ONEOK, you’ll contribute to delivering energy products and services that power progress while gaining hands-on engineering experience in plant operations at the CANA and Canadian Valley Plant. The Engineer II will lead execution of medium‐capex facility projects within the Natural Gas Gathering & Processing business, managing projects from initiation through closeout. This role requires an experienced Engineer who proactively drives projects to completion, builds strong, trust‐based relationships with Operations and Commercial stakeholders, and communicates clearly and transparently. Projects typically have CAPEX in the $1M–$50M range and involve coordinating cross‐functional teams and third‐party contractors to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. You will be accountable for developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and milestone plans, and for ensuring milestones and deadlines are consistently met. A core responsibility is establishing and managing all project contracts and purchase orders and ensuring work is executed in strict accordance with those agreements. You must provide regular, candid progress updates, promptly surface issues or delays, and drive effective mitigation plans while managing multiple concurrent projects. The ideal candidate brings proven facilities project and technical experience in the Midstream or Oil & Gas sectors, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to build stakeholder trust and deliver projects on a schedule and within budget. Experience managing construction, contracts, purchase orders, and third‐party vendors are required. project management activities related to design, procurement, construction, or optimization of company assets including but not limited to: + Transmission and/or gathering systems, measurement and regulation facilities, compressor and pump stations and dehydration plants + NGL fractionation, natural gas processing and/or hydrocarbon storage facilities + Construction plans and implementation + Management of third-party contract resources* Provide technical and/or engineering assistance on matters including but not limited to: + Equipment/system design + Pipeline sizing and evaluation + Pipeline control + Pipeline facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance + Policies and procedures + Process Safety* Perform and review project management activities including but not limited to: + Bid proposals and contracts + AFE preparation and cost management + Management of Change (MOC) + Material/equipment specifications and selection + Construction plans and support + Creating and updating schedules / timelines + Preparing project progress and other reports + Managing change orders * Identify equipment efficiencies, complete hydraulic calculations, determine valve and pipeline sizing and perform gas flow analysis.* Research, analyze, prepare and/or approve information including but not limited to: + Engineering studies + Governmental rules, regulations, codes conducting definitive studies for potential acquisitions* Identify opportunities for improvement and develop and implement new processes as requested my management, with limited supervision* Anticipate changes in work demands and identify assignments or training to meet those demands* Oversee utilization of manpower and equipment resources* Assess, schedule, and prioritize projects on customer needs and value to the organization* May have oversight of employees engaged in field operations, construction and/or project management function **Education*** Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field and the following job-related experience preferred **Work Experience*** Experience and knowledge of engineering design and criteria for natural gas and/or NGLs in pipeline systems* Experience at this level is typically attained with seven or more years of experience in engineering, operations and/or project management* Experience achieving goals and developing employee/team strengths, exhibiting a positive example and influence that leads to employee, project, and stakeholder successes* Experience in use and function of applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, etc.* Experience researching and preparing project materials and design specifications, contracts, agreements, budgets, engineering studies, and other relevant reports,
