Job Summary:
Mammographer position available in Palo Alto, California. The role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, assisting radiologists with various biopsies and localizations, and maintaining equipment quality. The position requires effective patient communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a teaching and research environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.

• Required Qualifications: License or certification in Mammography (CRT and MAM - Mammography Certification), BLS - Basic Life Support, at least 1 year of experience, and willingness to start on 08/03/2026.

• Ability to accurately bill complex procedures and supplies in a timely manner.

• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups.

• Proficiency in following written and oral instructions.

• Skill in positioning patients for routine and non-routine mammography views.

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to ultrasound and mammography procedures.

• Familiarity with computer systems and software used in mammography.

• Understanding of safety principles and procedures for ultrasound equipment.

• Licenses and Certifications required include CRT and Mammography Certification, along with Basic Life Support.

• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.

• Float: Float rotation may be required.

• Additional Information: The role involves assisting patients with questionnaires and education, handling paperwork, obtaining outside films for comparison, and performing specimen transport and biopsy procedures. The technologist will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain all digital mammography equipment, perform quality control, and ensure diagnostic image quality.
