About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN Must-Have: - Charge Experience - Patient Ratio Experience - Charting System Experience Description: Unit diagnoses include but are not limited to Sepsis, ARDS, CHF, Post STEMI, and Vascular conditions. Weekend coverage is required every other week. There are no call responsibilities. Staff may float within the facility/scope of practice as needed. The unit accepts first-time travelers. There is a mandatory compliance requirement to start on time. If non-compliant, the orientation may be delayed. Candidates are expected to work major holidays if they fall during the assignment period. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The daily census averages 12 patients. The unit comprises 18 rooms and beds. Interdisciplinary support is provided by Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation. Special equipment includes CRRT-prsimax. Staffing ratios during the day shift are typically 2 patients per nurse. Modules for onboarding may vary by specialty and must be completed as part of orientation. Compliance documents must be submitted by the deadline before the start of the assignment. All requests for time off must be finalized prior to submission. A maximum of 7 days off can be requested during the contract period. Specific holiday requests may be limited based on the number of holidays during the assignment.
