Hardware Design Engineer

DG specializes in the design and development of intelligent software and hardware protocol interface devices for in-vehicle and controller area network markets. Job Overview DG is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Engineer responsible for designing and developing embedded systems, including hardware and firmware components. The engineer will own detailed knowledge of product functional specifications, conduct design reviews, and resolve design issues. The role requires 5+ years of engineering experience and a strong understanding of embedded hardware and software design. Responsibilities Develop and review project work plans Generate functional specifications based on product requirements Create design specifications Resolve issues identified during the product development cycle Participate in design reviews Qualifications & Skills Embedded hardware and software design expertise Working understanding of CAN and LIN vehicle networks Knowledge of embedded RTOS and/or Embedded Linux systems Experience debugging embedded systems (JTAG, UART, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) Experience with electronics CAD (Altium preferred) PCB design of complex multi-layer circuit boards Proficiency with GitHub Familiarity with CAN analysis software Proficient in Microsoft Office products Team player with friendly and flexible attitude Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills 2+ years of embedded hardware and/or software design experience 2+ years of vehicle network (CAN/LIN) experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
