This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely lab results while upholding safety and compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect specimens from patients as orderedDocument and process lab results according to established proceduresPerform basic analysis of chemistry, hematology, and immunology specimensMaintain lab inventory and ensure supply viabilitySend specimens to reference labs and chart incoming resultsOperate and maintain lab equipment under CLIA guidelinesPerform phlebotomy and sample collection as neededEnsure compliance with OSHA and safety protocolsMaintain confidentiality and professionalism at all timesQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent required0–3 years of relevant experience (entry-level welcome!)Strong attention to detail and ability to follow proceduresComfortable working in a clinical environment with potential exposure to biohazardsPhysical & Work EnvironmentRequires manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and ability to lift up to 40 lbsExposure to patients, blood/body fluids, and laboratory chemicalsMust be able to sit/stand for extended periods and maintain a clean, organized workspaceAt Southern Cancer Center, you'll be part of a compassionate team committed to excellence in patient care.
