Licensed Practical Nurse Part-Time (260004IR) Location Northwest Developmental Center, 1101 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, OH 43614 Compensation $26.76 - $33.52 per hour Schedule Part-time; 3pm-11pm or 1:45pm-11:45pm Responsibilities Perform nursing procedures under the direction of a psychiatric/MR nurse, transcribe physician orders, administer controlled and non‑controlled medications, provide oxygen, apply sterile dressings, insert catheters, reinserts gastrostomy tubes, suction, collect specimens, and treat medical emergencies including CPR. Monitor residents for medication reactions, report negative reactions, assist physicians with physical exams and labs, chart resident records, prepare and count medications, order medication and supplies, provide medication instructions, mentor nursing students, assist in orientation of new employees, maintain medical records, attend meetings and committees, participate in quality assurance and safety monitoring, and communicate information to supervisors and staff. Qualifications License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration. Note: Licensed Practical Nurses who administer dialysis treatment must possess certification in IV Therapy pursuant to Ohio Revised Code. May be exposed to unpredictable resident behavior and contagious diseases. The selected candidate will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to appointment to test for illegal drug use. A positive test will result in denial of employment and a one‑year ban from employment with the State of Ohio.
