Our team was originally part of Lexion and recently acquired by Docusign. We offer the best of both worlds: a startup small company feel, with the resources and backing of Docusign. You will be joining a team building AI-powered features that use the latest technology including LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG, and embeddings. Your work will support Docusign’s large customer base, prioritizing user facing functionality and building highly scalable and available microservices.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to a Senior Manager, Machine Learning.ResponsibilityWrite clean, high-quality, maintainable, and testable code, primarily using React and C#Work closely with ML Engineers and Applied Scientists to implement ML Pipelines that include LLMs, RAG, and agent frameworksDevelop within an Agile/Scrum framework, leveraging tools such as automated unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and version control (Git)Identify and raise issues proactively that could impact delivery timelinesWork in SQL, Backend Services, REST API, Azure stackWork with Project Management and other developers to understand design requirements and provide estimates for developmentFix production issues and maintain the code as neededJob DesignationHybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.What you bringBasic8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years related experience with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experienceExperience working with systems that use modern AI technologies including LLMs, RAG, and agent frameworksBack end development experienceProficiency in modern server- side development using modern programming languages like .NET (our preferred platform), JVM(Java/Scala), NodeJS, or othersExperience with NoSQL and SQLExperience with Docker or other containerization technologiesExperience working with scalable microservicesExperience making improvements to existing large code baseExperience using Git or other version control systemsFluency in English both verbal and writtenPreferredExperience working for a SaaS companyExperience working independently and in team environment as neededA track record of being a self-starter - Individual/team responsibility is our main driver in the development workExperience with React/TypescriptExperience working in legal techPractical experience with any Cloud technologies: Azure, Kubernetes, AWS, etcExperience in designing and implementing RPC protocolsStrong interest or documented experience in large scale microservice architecturesFocus on writing high quality code that is easy to maintain and read by othersStrong understanding and experience in agile methodologiesWage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $158,300.00 - $232,575.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
