You may: Encourage and support clients in maintaining their independence and daily routines Assist with personal care and activities of daily living while promoting dignity and choice Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan Encourage safe activity and participation in familiar routines and interests Observe and communicate changes in a client's condition, needs, or abilities Build trusted relationships with clients, families, and team members Provide reliable, punctual, and compassionate support during scheduled shifts Why Your Work Matters The goal of home care isn't to take over—it’s to support what a client can do, assist where they need help, and encourage them to remain as independent as possible.
