About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – PICU (Float ICU)

Atlanta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float to multiple ICU settings across campuses, including NICU, TICU, PICU, and CICU
• May float to general care areas when no ICU needs are present
• Operate and manage Servo ventilators in ICU settings
• Participate in Rapid Response Team (RRT) activations as needed
• Administer and monitor typical ICU drips, medications, and vasopressors
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in ICU assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or compact license in hand at time of submittal — no exceptions
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Ability to pass a medication competency test; candidates who do not pass on the second attempt will be released
• Compliance with a nicotine-free workplace policy; facility tests for cotinine/nicotine
• All compliance documentation must be submitted no later than 7 business days prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred but not required
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted if resume demonstrates required ICU skills
