Job Description The EHS Coordinator supports plant environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs by assisting with safety initiatives, regulatory activities, and documentation. This role follows defined procedures and works under close supervision to complete routine inspections, maintain records, and support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations. The role contributes to a safe work environment through accurate execution of assigned tasks and coordination support. This role follows defined procedures and works under close supervision to complete routine inspections, maintain records, and support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations. The role contributes to a safe work environment through accurate execution of assigned tasks and coordination support. What you’ll do Assist in coordinating day-to-day plant EHS activities following established processes. Perform routine EHS inspections of equipment, machinery, procedures and facilities to identify and report potential hazards or compliance gaps. Maintain and update EHS documentation, including chemical safety data and regulatory logs, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Support adherence to established EHS requirements, including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, managing and inspection of waste collection, storm water and other environmental inspections and safe work practices. Track EHS-related maintenance work orders and follow up on completion of corrective actions as directed. Inspect and restock EHS equipment such as fire prevention tools, spill kits, personal protective equipment and first aid supplies according to defined schedules. Provide administrative and coordination support for incident investigations, including documentation of findings and corrective actions. Assist with scheduling and coordination of EHS training sessions and EHS team meetings. Support environmental compliance activities by collecting data, maintaining records, and preparing required documentation. Assists in maintaining regulatory records related to environmental, emergency response, and risk management programs, including property insurance. Communicate with internal partners to gather or share information related to EHS requirements. Support emergency response and contingency planning activities by assisting with documentation and preparation tasks. Assist and lead implementation and maintenance of EHS related written programs and executable activities under close supervision. This may include leading EHS projects within your facility and collaborating with others What you need to succeed High School Diploma or GED required. Foundational or introductory experience in manufacturing, environmental, health, safety, or a related support role preferred. Basic knowledge of workplace EHS practices and regulations (e.g., DNR, State, Local, OSHA, EPA). Ability to follow defined procedures and standard operating processes accurately. Strong organizational skills to manage routine documentation and coordination tasks. Basic communication skills to exchange information within the team and your leader. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Teams, SharePoint) for documentation and reporting. Proficient in Schreiber Foods programs including Sphera, Dakota, aPSM, SharePoint, Power BI, MyAccess, preferred. Ability to work under close supervision and complete assigned tasks reliably, accurately and timely. Ability to travel for professional development courses, audits, conferences with training being approximately 5%. Eligible partners will receive Get not one, but TWO retirement benefits.
