The Carrier Sales Representative plays a critical role in securing transportation capacity by developing carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and ensuring successful execution of freight. This role requires strong communication, resilience, and the ability to perform in a high-volume sales environment.

Responsibilities:

• Execute a high volume of outbound calls to source and secure carriers
• Negotiate competitive rates while balancing service and profitability
• Build, develop, and maintain a reliable carrier network
• Track and manage shipments from pickup through delivery
• Proactively communicate updates, issues, and resolutions to internal teams and customers
• Ensure all load details and documentation are accurate and complete
• Monitor market conditions and provide pricing insights
• Resolve service disruptions, delays, and carrier-related issues
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure successful load execution
• Manage a larger portfolio of clients and carriers.
• Handle more complex shipments.
• Negotiate better rates and terms with carriers on both spot and contract business.
• Provide training and guidance to entry-level brokers.
• Monitor market trends and use data to optimize freight solutions.
• Consistently represent EFS in a positive and professional manner, internally and externally.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or transportation
• Strong understanding of freight market dynamics and negotiation strategies
• Proven ability to manage complex loads and multiple priorities
• Proficiency with TMS systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong problem solving, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet KPIs
