Our Marine Operations Team is seeking a Technician Full time, non‑exempt opportunity. Hybrid position (2x a week in office) in Worcester, MA, Windsor, CT, Howell, MI, or Itasca, IL. POSITION OVERVIEW This position reports into Marine Tech Operations and supports Inland Marine Operations and Field Underwriting by providing technical support functions including processing of New Business and Renewal policies, as well as subsequent transactions. The role allows Underwriter Associates to focus on underwriting routine and renewal business, operational workflows, and to provide superior customer service to agents. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: Process new business, renewals and bypass renewals within quality standards, ensuring proper issuance documentation is complete and accurate within the established guidelines. Provide clear and accurate instructions for issuance to offshore team. Request additional information from underwriting as needed and use appropriate communication channels to refer or follow up with UA/UT to ensure outstanding items are handled timely. Process subsequent transactions (endorsements, reporting adjustments, cancellations, reinstatements) ensuring that the request meets the subsequent transaction bypass guidelines. Follow escalation procedures for system, rushes and problem resolution, keeping impacted parties informed. Work with Operations Manager to facilitate continuous operational improvements, taking on assignments to increase efficiency and improve service. WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY 1+ years of related insurance, financial, or customer service experience. Basic understanding of insurance concepts, practices, and procedures. Strong attention to detail. Functional knowledge of product offerings. Analytical skills. Strong organizational and time management skills.
