General Anesthesiologist

Full‑time faculty position for an Attending General Anesthesiologist at the Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School – Assistant Professor, Non‑Tenure Track . The role involves patient care, resident and student didactics, and research functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site anesthesia services to adult patients at University Hospital, including the Main Operating Rooms, Same‑Day Surgery ORs, the Stone Center, and other locations.
• Provide intra‑operative and didactic teaching to residents and other educational activities that advance the division and institutional goals.
• Participate in various divisional, departmental, and institutional initiatives and activities.
• Engage in Faculty Development and skill/knowledge acquisition activities.
• Promote and conduct research that advances the discipline both academically and clinically.
• Ensure all medical records are completed in accordance with NJMS and hospital policies, within 7 days of the date of service.
• Submit all charge documentation within 14 days of the date of service.
• Complete Medicare time studies or other required documents for documenting services under the program.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Chair.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical doctorate.
• Eligible for Medical Licensure in New Jersey.
• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible (BC/BE) in Anesthesiology.
• Experience in general anesthesia and patient care.
• H1B visa holders are welcome to apply.

Effective appointment date: July 1, 2025.
