Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: The Pharmacy Technician Specialist is responsible for accurately performing advanced and basic pharmacy technician functions in a timely manner. They assist in total quality management of the distributive functions of the department by performing all the duties of a Tech I and Tech II position. In addition, they are responsible for performing specialized duties, and/or leadership roles as assigned by the pharmacy management team.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: High School Graduate/Equivalent
• Preferred Education: Associate or Bachelor degree
• Required License: National Certification (CPhT) and Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the State Board
• Preferred License: ACPE or ASHP Advance Certification
• Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience
• Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in the specialty areas as determined by hospital needs.
