About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of empowering teachers in the pursuit of educational equity and student success. The successful candidate will be a sophisticated systems leader and trusted subject matter expert, responsible for setting a vision and executing strategies that drive long-term, measurable, and systemic change. This role requires the ability to build and steward a network of champions, including setting and executing against ambitious fundraising goals. The Executive Director will also be tasked with creating and sustaining enabling conditions for impact, which involves building and managing a local team, as well as ensuring operational excellence. The ideal Executive Director will embody a solutions-oriented mindset, with a focus on equitable student outcomes and a commitment to developing the systems leadership of teachers. They must be adept at leveraging data, managing financial information, and communicating effectively to inspire and motivate others. The role demands a candidate who can navigate a highly contextual and evolving landscape, continuously assess the local ecosystem, and adapt strategies to meet the changing needs of the community. A strong emphasis is placed on the ability to co-create and invest educators in a policy agenda, run advocacy campaigns, and elevate teacher voice in the media. The Executive Director will be expected to work closely with local and state partners, including lawmakers, to advance the organization's mission and ensure that the needs of students, teachers, and communities are at the forefront of all decision-making.
