Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counseling or closely related field (required)
• Active and valid Alaska counseling license
• Strong background or sincere interest in working with students requiring special education support
• Commitment to upholding confidentiality, compliance, and student-centered care
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling services aligned with IEP minutes and goals
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student development
• Conduct and document individual and group sessions, maintaining accurate records
• Contribute expertise during IEP meetings and assist in educational planning
• Offer crisis intervention and contribute to prevention programming as needed
