Staff Accountant

LHH is seeking an experienced Accountant to join a growing and evolving accounting team with one of our north county clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional who can step in quickly, work independently, and make an immediate impact in a high‑visibility role. This position will support core accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, month‑end close, reporting, and budget‑related analysis. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically strong, and confident working in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Of This Staff Accountant Include: Maintain general ledger accuracy and support full‑cycle accounting activities Prepare and complete account reconciliations Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes Support financial reporting and budget monitoring Analyze variances and research discrepancies Collaborate with accounting leadership and team members on ongoing priorities and process improvement Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred 3+ years of experience in a full cycle accounting role Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar ERP system Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis Ability to step into a role with minimal training and take ownership of responsibilities Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and reporting Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a deadline‑driven environment Experience supporting budgets, reporting, and month‑end close Benefit offerings include competitive salary with excellent benefits; medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, and 401K plan with employer match.
