Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1+ years License: Valid RN license (Compact or state-specific) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH certifications required at the time of submission - Epic charting experience required - 2 weekend shifts per contract Description: The position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Candidates should have experience in an emergency room setting. 1+ years of nursing experience is required. Travelers with emergency room experience are welcome. Candidates must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications in hand when applying. The role requires familiarity with Epic for patient charting. Locals within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this position. The patient care environment includes a daily census of around 100 patients. The unit features 22 rooms and 22 beds. Common patient diagnoses include various acute medical conditions. Travelers will be expected to float to similar units within their scope of practice as needed. All nursing responsibilities apply, including advanced life support and crisis management. Candidates must have experience in managing ventilated patients and other critical care situations. Required skills include intubation, administration of emergency medications, and managing trauma patients. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to manage complex cases effectively. This role involves working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
