Primary Care Physician

Optum NV is seeking a Physician to join their team in Las Vegas, NV, focusing on primary care for high-acuity Medicare Advantage patients. This role involves managing a dedicated patient panel as the primary care provider of record, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver care in both clinic and home settings. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to new practice ideas and initiatives within a global organization dedicated to improving healthcare.Practice InfoProvides primary care for high-acuity Medicare Advantage patients within a dedicated panel.Functions as the primary care provider of record.Partners with an interdisciplinary team to manage complex, high-utilization patients.Care is delivered in a referral-based model, focused on reducing hospitalizations, improving outcomes, and supporting longitudinal care management.Collaborates with advanced practice clinicians, case management, and social work to address medical and psychosocial needs.Supports quality initiatives including HEDIS, RAF accuracy, and patient experience.ResponsibilitiesManage a panel of complex Medicare patients as the PCP, overseeing all aspects of care.Provide care in clinic and home settings as appropriate, with APC support for field-based visits.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (APCs, RN case managers, social workers) to optimize care plans and transitions.Review and coordinate care for high-risk patients, including post-discharge follow-up and chronic disease management.Partner with clinical quality teams to meet HEDIS, RAF, and documentation standards.Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.Participate in team meetings and contribute to care model development and workflow optimization.Provide clinical guidance and collaboration with APCs (independent practice model; not supervisory except where required).Compensation$100,000 Sign on Bonus for external candidatesAttractive base salaryBonus planRelocation costsDifferential for supervision of extendersCompensation for this specialty generally ranges from $237,500 - $384,000.
