Pay Range: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Reports To: Shipping & Receiving Lead

Position Summary:

Coastline Power Solutions is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for unloading inbound trucks, receiving materials into the inventory system, staging outbound shipments, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating a forklift, using computers and inventory software, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role directly supports production by ensuring materials are received accurately and delivered to the correct departments in a timely manner.

Our engineered products are installed in critical applications throughout the United States and internationally, serving government agencies, the military, police and fire departments, hospitals, assisted living facilities, schools, data centers, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving

• Unload inbound trucks, verifying counts and condition of materials.
• Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, damage, and conformity to purchase orders.
• Receive items into the company inventory system.
• Label, tag, and stage materials for distribution to the appropriate departments.
• Communicate discrepancies, shortages, or damages to Purchasing and Operations immediately.

Shipping:

• Prepare outbound shipments including packaging, palletizing, labeling, and documentation.
• Load outbound trucks safely and efficiently.
• Verify shipping paperwork (BOLs, packing slips, labels) for accuracy.
• Coordinate with freight carriers and internal departments regarding shipment schedules.

Warehouse Support:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of receiving and shipping areas.
• Assist with cycle counts and general inventory accuracy.
• Follow all Coastline safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Administrative / System Tasks:

• Enter receiving data accurately into the computer system.
• Print labels, update logs, and maintain digital receiving records.
• Communicate via email, computer, and in-person with production, purchasing, and logistics teams.
• Use Microsoft Office, basic spreadsheets, and systems as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1+ year of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• Ability to unload trucks and move material with forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, data entry).
• Experience using inventory or ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, and basic documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in warehouse conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, and stand throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
