Physician, Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine

At NorthBay Health the Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine Physician provides comprehensive outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine services, with a strong emphasis on the diagnosis and management of sleep-related disorders in an ambulatory setting. This position focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for adults with pulmonary and sleep conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team to optimize patient outcomes. Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Outpatient only Daily Patient Census: Average 18-20 patients per day Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art medical equipment and comprehensive resources Provider Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) Primary Responsibilities: * Provide comprehensive outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine care to adult patients. * Diagnose and manage a broad range of pulmonary conditions including asthma, COPD, chronic cough, interstitial lung disease, and other respiratory disorders. * Evaluate, diagnose, and treat sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, restless leg syndrome, and circadian rhythm disorders. * Interpret and manage diagnostic testing including pulmonary function tests (PFTs), home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), polysomnography, and other pulmonary and sleep-related studies. * Manage PAP therapy, including CPAP and BiPAP treatment plans and compliance monitoring. * Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, respiratory therapists, sleep technologists, and clinical staff to coordinate patient care. * Educate patients and families regarding pulmonary and sleep conditions, treatment plans, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications. * Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development activities as appropriate * Collaborate with and supervise APPs to enhance patient care Interpersonal Skills and Values Demonstrates NorthBay Health’s True North Values: Nurture Care, Own It, Respect Relationships, Build Trust, and Hardwire Excellence. Compensation Structure NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements. Remote Work Disclosure NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare.
