Packer Job DescriptionPay Rate: $10.00 per hour Job Type: Full Time Packer- 1st and 2nd Shift.Position SummaryThe Chip Line Packer reports to the production supervisor and is a key member of our "Julio's Family." This position's primary role is responsible for inspecting and packing products.Job Duties:Inspects and hand pack products properly at a production line's rate of operation.Responsible for following all food safety policies and procedures, current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), SSOP's and HACCP planPerform daily and weekly sanitation procedures.Marks cartons with date during line set up and changeovers as required by production schedule.Assists with packaging line start up and changeovers.Assists in other departments as required.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- WILL TRAIN· Excellent communication skills (including listening, writing, speaking) required.· Strong organizational skills required.· Ability to perform math (add, divide, fractions, percentages).· Ability to conduct on-going interpersonal interactions, analyze and solve problems.· Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work.· Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and the ability to navigate and research the Internet.· Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred English is required.· High School diploma or general education degree preferred, but not required.Working Conditions:Manufacturing environment in a food manufacturing facility.Physical Requirements:· Must be able to lift and move up to a minimum of 50 pounds.· Employee will be subject to dust, noise, and odor.· The physical activity of this position includes, but is limited to routine walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, sitting, and visual activity.Schedule: 8–12-hour shift (morning, or evening) Weekends / Potential OvertimeWork Schedule12 hour shiftWeekend availability8 hour shiftBenefitsPaid time offHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurance
