About this role

Experienced concrete carpenters needed in the San Antonio, TX area to build, set and strip concrete forms for commercial and government projects. This is a per diem position with multi-day assignments on job sites across the region. Candidates must be hands-on, reliable, and able to work as part of a crew. You will work from construction drawings and specifications to assemble accurate, durable formwork. The role requires strong formwork and general carpentry skills, the ability to follow site safety rules, and good communication in English and Spanish. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates willing to travel for assignments.

What you'll do

• Build, install and strip concrete forms according to drawings and project specs
• Read and interpret construction drawings, layout lines, and perform site layout
• Measure, cut and fit lumber, metal framing, and form ties to ensure accurate pours
• Install scaffolding and in-wall blocking as needed for formwork and finishing
• Coordinate with crew members and crane operators, including basic signaling
• Inspect formwork for quality and safety before concrete placement; report issues

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and general framing carpentry
• Skilled at reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Competent with measuring, cutting, bench/finish carpentry, and stair/floor framing
• Experience with scaffolding systems installation and safe site practices
• Able to work cross-functionally on government and commercial job sites
• Bilingual in English and Spanish; able to communicate clearly on site

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in concrete formwork or related carpentry work
• Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable lifting heavy materials and working at heights
• Familiarity with crane signaling, site layout, and work inspection
