Job Description Job Description House Manager — Private Residence Sarasota, Florida | Full-Time or Part-Time I am looking for a highly organized, dependable House Manager to help manage the day-to-day operations of our family home and keep things running smoothly. This is a hands-on position for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done, enjoys creating order, and is comfortable managing a variety of household responsibilities without needing constant direction. Responsibilities may include: Managing household organization and day-to-day needs Coordinating vendors, service appointments, repairs, and maintenance Scheduling and overseeing cleaners, landscapers, contractors, and other household vendors Grocery shopping and household supply management Returns, errands, packages, dry cleaning, and miscellaneous household tasks Keeping household calendars and upcoming needs organized Helping prepare for guests, travel, holidays, and family events Light organization of closets, pantry, storage areas, etc. Managing household inventory and replenishing regularly used items Helping coordinate children's schedules and activities when needed Pet-related coordination and occasional care Identifying things that need attention before they become problems This is not primarily a cleaning position . I am looking for someone who can take ownership of household organization and logistics and become a trusted extra set of hands. The right person is: Extremely organized and proactive Reliable and consistent Comfortable working independently Discreet and respectful of privacy Good at communicating without over-communicating Comfortable managing multiple priorities Resourceful and able to solve problems Warm, professional, and easy to have in a family home Comfortable with technology, calendars, texting, online ordering, and basic administrative tasks Previous experience as a house manager, family assistant, executive/personal assistant, estate manager, hospitality professional, or similar role is preferred but not required for the right person. Schedule can potentially be structured as part-time or full-time depending on the candidate and experience. This is a long-term position for someone who would like to become an important and trusted part of keeping a busy household organized.
