Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the Project EEHA Execution Plan.
  • Specify, organize and provide self-verification of training for both CONTRACTOR and SUBCONTRACTOR (including suppliers).
  • Conduct an EEHA Kick off Meeting (KOM) with the suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure deliverables are understood by all parties at vendor locations. If KOM is missed this guidance can be offered at the Pre-Production Meeting (PPM).
  • Establish priority order of Suppliers (depending on quantities of deliverables and criticality) to ensure that coordination with these Suppliers is completed in a timely manner.
  • Implementation of the Hazardous Area Equipment Register, Competency Matrix and the EEHA Detailed Inspection report form.
  • Oversight and technical support to RPE, Electrical, Instrument & Controls and Telecom department for the coordination of the following activities:
  • Review of Equipment NRTL’s / Certificates of Conformity submitted by suppliers / subcontractor / COMPANY
  • Review of Personnel Competency Certificates submitted by suppliers / subcontractor
  • Approval of NRTL / COC equipment and coordination with Company
  • Approval of NRTL / COCs submitted by suppliers/subcontractors
  • Review of Suppliers Schedule of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas
  • Review of Detailed Inspection Reports submitted by suppliers / subcontractors
  • Review of Hazardous Area Verification Dossier (HAVDs) submitted by suppliers / subcontractors
  • Coordinates the running of the Hazardous Area Equipment Register (HAER), Hazardous Area Verification Dossier (HAVD) and Competency Matrix with Jobsite EEHA Coordinator for the Construction Phase.
  • The role will hand over to the site team post completion of vendor’s inspections and EPC contractor engineering is substantially complete.
  • Competency: Have a thorough knowledge and recognizable qualification, CompEx for NEC (Modules Ex 01 – Ex 04), equivalent qualification or minimum of NEC 500 foundation qualification.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Holds recognized EEHA qualifications such as CompEx for NEC (Modules Ex01–Ex04), equivalent certification, or at minimum the NEC 500 Foundation Certificate
  • Minimum 6 years of working experience in offshore oil and gas project management and engineering execution, specifically in electrical engineering
  • Experience in electrical engineering design and execution for oil and gas projects
  • Able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of strategies, work methods, processes, and systems in project and engineering execution
  • Competent in managing ambiguity, conflict, and working in a culturally diverse environment
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • High awareness of safe working practices related to design, construction, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of oil and gas facilities
