Civil Engineer- Project Manager

Minimum Experience 6+ years’ experience Compensation Estimated $115,000 to $150,000 based on full-time employment + bonus + benefits. Compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and certification. Location Our office is located in the Alaska Junction Neighborhood in West Seattle. We are located within a 3-minute walk of free parking, the C Line rapid ride bus system, many delicious restaurants, bakeries, and shopping. Traffic dependent- our office is 15 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes to Alki Beach. This calm location is a sweet stepping off point to the city. About Mayfly Mayfly is a civil engineering-based firm with an emphasis on integrated sustainable design. We specialize in the design and planning of projects that are sensitive to both their social and natural environments. We provide full civil engineering services from early site and options analysis through construction documents and specifications as well as provide construction administration. In addition to conventional civil engineering design, our portfolio of built projects includes stormwater retrofits to existing urban watersheds, park focused projects that emphasize equity and access, and projects that are committed to sustainable approaches. Current projects include: The ASUW Shell House- Home of the Boys in the Boat- on the Montlake Cut The WWU Welcome Center Westgate Elementary School Magnusson Park Playground and Restroom LID based stormwater planning for Seattle Public Utilities Sound Transit Operations and Maintenance Facility South About You We are looking for curious, collaborative, and independent engineers with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively on several projects simultaneously. We are open to full or part-time positions that are onsite or hybrid in nature. We are looking for engineers that have the following skills or are willing to work to acquire them quickly. 1+ years of project management experience. 6+ years of project management experience Professional Engineering License in the State of Washington Western Washington Design Experience 4+ years of civil design experience. Interest in sustainable design and improving their communities. Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Candidates are expected to have the expertise to support project design and document production. Proficient with storm water modeling using WWHM or MGS Flood. Proficient with local stormwater manuals and preparing stormwater calculations and reports. Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with a collaborative attitude, a willingness to learn and mentor.
