Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-obsessed Java Developer to join our core centralized NTG Freelancer collective in a full-time remote contract capacity globally. In this high-leverage and tech-centric engineering seat, you will act as a fully integrated contributor within our client’s core software organization to support the continuous development of a flagship SaaS platform utilized by high-value enterprise customers. Shifting completely away from routine template modifications, minor landing page maintenance, or passive task tracking, you will operate as a principal backend architect—partnering face-to-face with cross-border developer communities, internal client cells, and end-users. This position requires an enterprise software veteran with 3 to 4 years of backend depth who codes robust server-side systems fluidly natively using Backend architectures, structures data query layers smoothly natively using SQL database designs, and manages off-standard hours incident response confidently during critical US business frames.

Key Responsibilities

• SaaS Platform Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable features within our client core enterprise SaaS platform, writing clean, object-oriented code structures cleanly natively utilizing Backend design parameters.
• Complex ERP System Data Integration: Architect and support complex, secure integrations with client ERP networks, building performant data synchronization pipelines to securely retrieve data and route data streams across platforms.
• RESTful API Engineering and Schema Optimization: Build, document, and manage scalable RESTful endpoints, modeling structural backend responses natively leveraging Backend frameworks to ensure fluid microservices data transmission.
• Relentless SQL Database Query Tuning: Formulate, monitor, and optimize database access pathways, indexing transactional tables smoothly natively using SQL parameters to avoid performance latency under high concurrency.
• Off-Standard Shift Incident Triage: Monitor system telemetry independently and resolve mission-critical application errors or runtime bugs arising outside of standard European business hours, providing support to client end-users during US working zones.
• Cross-Regional Team Realignment: Participate actively in virtual sync assemblies, sprint alignment meetings, and developer workshops across distributed, international engineering squads to minimize project bottlenecks.
• Dev-Friendly Process Deployment: Drive code quality across your assigned workflow loops by participating in rigorous peer code reviews, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) check gates, and targeted bug bashes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 to 4 years of verified professional history running advanced backend software engineering, object-oriented systems design, server-side data pipeline programming, API development, or technical cloud consulting.
• Mandatory Programming Language Mastery: Proven, hands-on portfolio history demonstrating deep technical development experience utilizing Java paired with functional proficiency inside Kotlin ecosystems.
• Expert-tier capability writing custom middleware components, managing multi-threaded services, and configuring dependency injections natively utilizing Backend code logic (specifically requiring hands-on experience with Spring Boot).
• Practical operational familiarity parsing relational tables, configuring joints, and managing schema indices natively using SQL parameters.
• Shift Alignment and Availability Notice: Position requires the uncompromised operational availability to regularly cover set daily shift parameters running from 14:30 to 22:30 CET (±30 minutes) to provide adequate time-zone coverage during US business cycles.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication attributes in fluent English, enabling total clarity when presenting technical solutions or assisting distributed international stakeholders.
• Contractual Structural Sourcing: Position is structured exclusively as a business-to-business (B2B) freelance contract arrangement.
• Location Context: Position open to qualified backend developers globally to operate under a 100% remote work-from-home layout.
