Senior Project ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT and business transformation initiatives from initiation through delivery. The role is responsible for defining project scope, planning and execution across Waterfall and Agile frameworks, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing budgets and schedules, mitigating risks, and ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with organizational objectives and governance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program and release management, proven stakeholder management skills, and experience with DevOps practices and enterprise tooling.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end project delivery for multiple concurrent initiatives, applying appropriate methodologies (Agile/SCRUM, Waterfall, Hybrid) to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality and stakeholder expectations.Define project scope, objectives, success criteria and deliverables; create and maintain comprehensive project plans, Gantt charts and schedules using MS Project or equivalent tools.Coordinate release and release management activities across development, QA, operations and DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.Manage project budgets, perform financial forecasting, track earned value (EVM) and report on financial performance and variances.Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues; maintain risk registers and drive timely resolution through escalation and corrective action.Facilitate requirements gathering, business analysis and prioritization with stakeholders and product owners to ensure clear acceptance criteria and traceability.Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, operations, vendors and third-party contractors; manage resource allocation and optimize utilization.Drive change management, ensuring stakeholder engagement, communication plans, training and adoption strategies are executed.Establish and maintain governance, compliance and quality assurance practices, including ITIL processes where applicable.Develop and maintain project documentation in Confluence, JIRA, Asana or Trello; produce regular status reports, KPIs and dashboards for senior leadership and portfolio reviews.Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, procurement activities and service level expectations.Implement process improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement approaches to increase efficiency and reduce defects.Define RACI matrices, roles and responsibilities and ensure clear communication across program teams.Coordinate testing strategies and QA activities to validate deliverables against requirements and quality standards.Support portfolio management activities by aligning projects to strategic objectives, tracking interdependencies and providing input to prioritization decisions.QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field; PMP or equivalent project management certification required; additional certifications (Agile, Scrum Master, ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.10+ years of progressive project and program management experience delivering IT systems, software development and infrastructure projects, including experience with both Agile and Waterfall SDLCs.Proven experience in release management, DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline coordination.Demonstrated ability in budgeting, financial forecasting, earned value management and cost control for large projects.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with experience facilitating executive-level steering committees and governance boards.Hands-on experience with project tooling such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Asana, Trello and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and analysis.Solid knowledge of requirements gathering, business analysis, testing methodologies, QA and quality assurance best practices.Experience in resource management, vendor and contract management, procurement processes and third-party oversight.Track record of driving process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma or comparable methodologies.Proven ability to manage scope changes, change control processes and maintain alignment between deliverables and business objectives.Strong analytical skills, KPI tracking experience and ability to produce clear, actionable reporting for multiple stakeholders.Experience with compliance, governance frameworks and risk management practices.Excellent leadership skills, team-building capability and experience mentoring junior project managers and business analysts.Benefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offSabbaticalVision insurance
