Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Full Time, Regular , Evenings , 1030am-11pm Job Summary Treat actual or potential health problems using the nursing diagnosis and case management. Teach, counsel and provide supportive care to the patient and their significant others. Essential Functions Interviews patient (if possible) and/or family to obtain required history and make an accurate assessment. Assigns a triage priority based on observations and available information. Initiates diagnostic and therapeutic measures as indicated by standing protocols. Calls for crisis intervention if appropriate. Communicates and acts as liaison between the patient, family, and health professionals in a manner that respects confidentiality and dignity. Coordinates the needs of the patient with supporting departments and assists in solving problems related to the welfare of patient and staff. Charts concisely, descriptively, and legibly indicating patient’s progress or lack or progress. Performs nursing procedures safely and efficiently. Demonstrates understanding of, and adheres to, the hospital’s infection control protocols. Demonstrates compliance with existing standards and policies. Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of NJ. Certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support. IV Certification preferred. Minimum Work Experience 2 year or more experience in an acute care setting preferred. Critical care experience preferred. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Must be willing to work holidays, weekends and provide additional coverage as needed. Salary / Compensation The salary/hourly rate range for this position is: $43.96 - $49.47. CareWell Health provides a salary/hourly rate range for all open positions to comply with New Jersey Law.
