Lab IT Support Engineer

We are looking for a Lab IT Support Engineer to support laboratory software, instrument-connected computers, and Windows-based lab environments.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and troubleshoot laboratory software applications.Support Windows OS upgrades, compatibility testing, and system maintenance.Manage instrument-connected PCs and resolve software, licensing, and connectivity issues.Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, VBScript, and VBA.Support SQL databases, data transfers, and integrations with laboratory systems.Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams on software deployments and technical issues.Troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, network connectivity, and user-reported incidents.Maintain documentation, inventory, and security compliance for laboratory systems.Required Skills:Experience with Windows administration and software installation/support.Hands-on experience with PowerShell, VBScript (VBS), or VBA scripting.Basic knowledge of SQL, networking, and Active Directory.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience supporting scientific, laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial applications is preferred.Nice to Have:Exposure to OpenLab, Chromeleon, ChemStation, LIMS, or similar lab software.Experience working with instrument-connected systems and regulated environments.This role is ideal for someone with a strong Windows support and scripting background who enjoys solving software installation, automation, and system support challenges.
