Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and assessment of patient conditions, working alongside Physical Therapists to develop personalized treatment plans that address individual needs.
• Implement treatment plans by modifying and adjusting exercises and techniques as directed by the Physical Therapist, focusing on patient comfort and efficacy.
• Guide and supervise patients in therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique and promoting motivation with empathy throughout the recovery process.
• Utilize various modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to alleviate pain and optimize functional recovery, continually assessing patient responses.
• Provide educational resources and support to patients and their families, helping them understand exercise techniques for at-home practice and ongoing recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, noting treatment outcomes, patient responses, and any adjustments made to the therapy plan.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, sharing insights and patient updates to maintain an integrated approach to care.
• Maintain compliance with patient confidentiality and organizational policies, ensuring all records are accurate and handled professionally.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, athletes rehabilitating from sports-related injuries, and patients suffering from chronic pain syndromes. Each patient's treatment plan is tailored to their specific needs, allowing you to have a significant impact on their recovery journey and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program is required.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or eligibility to obtain licensure is mandatory.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation or relevant healthcare setting that demonstrates your capability to effectively support patient recovery.
• Solid understanding of physical therapy principles and methodologies, with a genuine commitment to enhancing patient outcomes.
