Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialty in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to join our team. This position requires a strong background in cardiac telemetry and a focus on both cardiac and respiratory patient care. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including Congestive Heart Failure, myocardial infarction, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and arrhythmias. Monitor and manage patients experiencing respiratory issues, such as COPD and pneumonia. Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement therapeutic interventions for patients with Heart Failure, Respiratory Failure, NSTEMI, and more. Participate in patient and family education on disease management and health maintenance. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and established nursing standards. Float to other areas as required to meet the needs of the unit. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant specialty. Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are mandatory. Experience in cardiac telemetry is essential. Strong clinical skills in managing cardiac and respiratory patients. Ability to work nights and weekends as needed. Open to first-time travelers. Schedule This position offers a schedule of 3 night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holidays as necessary. Work Environment The Registered Nurse will primarily work in a telemetry unit focusing on cardiac patients, providing critical care and support during patient recovery and management.
