Details 24-bed max capacity Medical Surgical unit focused on at-risk patients Secured unit featuring whole-unit video monitoring, ligature alarms, anti-barricade doors, and a badge-secured entrance Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30 36 or 48 hour contracts available, discussed during interview Every other weekend required Mandatory floating required, including as a Patient Observer (sitter) when needed MS units may float to MS/Tele Cerner charting system preferred but not required 1:5 patient ratio experience Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted BLS certification required CPI Blue Card required for Behavioral Health RNs (can be pending at start and completed onsite) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Trauma Level I experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs Ability to work in a healthcare facility open 24/7, including rotating shifts, holidays, and during inclement weather Additional Information Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care to an at-risk patient population within a secured unit Must be able to take call and work assigned weekends and holidays as scheduled Required to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract Local candidates residing within 51-74 miles may be offered a local rate; those within 50 miles are not eligible Maximum RTO of 10 days, with no time off allowed during the first week due to orientation Re-orientation not required if returning within 18 months First-time travelers are welcome to apply Travelers may work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (up to 9 months) before a mandatory 6-month break is required before returning to the facility American Traveler Job ID P-768333.
