ED Tech - Overlake Lynnwood Off-Campus Emergency Department (OCED) Per Diem/Nights

Position Overview Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) provides direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the new Off-Campus Emergency Department. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to patients of various ages. Perform waived and moderately complex point of care testing, including obtaining blood samples, transporting samples and other potentially bio-hazardous specimens, and performing quality activities outlined in protocol and procedures. Assist with patient care related tasks as directed by the supervising RN. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Health Care Provider CPR Certification required upon hire. Active licensure: Washington State Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) required, or Washington State Nursing Assistant Registration (NAR); Washington State Medical Assistant – Phlebotomist (MA-P). Minimum of one year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred. Computer familiarity preferred. Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment and record keeping. Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Benefits Medical insurance premiums as low as $0 per month.
