Handyman / Home Maintenance Technician Virginia Beach

HomeSmiles Virginia Beach is hiring experienced residential maintenance, handyman, home inspection, or general contracting professionals. Paid hands-on experience required.

What You'll Do

• Complete scheduled handyman repairs and preventive home maintenance services
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, finish carpentry, drywall repair, fixture install, small painting, gutter, dryer vent, pressure washing, soft washing, and window cleaning work
• Troubleshoot common residential issues safely and independently
• Identify safety, code, or maintenance concerns during service visits
• Communicate professionally with homeowners
• Explain findings, recommend solutions, and offer bundled service options

Who You Are

• Experienced in residential maintenance, handyman work, general contracting, inspections, or a related trade
• Minimum of 4 years experience in similar role
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass Background Check
• Comfortable handling multiple service calls per day
• Skilled at explaining repair needs and building trust with customers
• Able to identify upsell opportunities ethically and confidently
