1st Shift - Vent Crew (Starting Pay $16)

Job Title

A successful candidate will support the greenhouses by repairing vent systems throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of all locations throughout the greenhouse
• Knowledge of how the Vent systems function and how they're installed
• Communicate with greenhouse personnel over the radio
• Install Motor/Gearbox as needed
• Repair broken areas of vent system
• Replace broken sheet glass in vent system
• Install and/or replace Polycarbonate panels throughout the greenhouse
• Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Clear verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift or willing to be trained
• Experience operating Table movers or willing to be trained
• Knowledge of common hand tools and power tools
• Experience operating or willing to be trained on scissor lifts

Job Setting & Physical Demands

This position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility. This position spends the majority of the shift working at heights over 5 feet and in both heat and cool temperatures.

Candidate must be able to work evenings and weekends as business needs arise and during peak seasons. Employee must have the ability to lift 35 pounds unaided, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
