Pediatric Cardiology Registered Nurse

This position involves performing a minimum of 2-3 patient visits per day. The role is responsible for both pre and post-anesthesia care of special cardiovascular procedures on a population ranging from neonates to geriatric congenital cardiac patients. Duties include monitoring sedated studies, conducting clinic visits, and cardiac surgical workups. Staff members are required to stay until the last patient is either discharged or admitted, with rare occurrences of working past 19:00. There is no weekend requirement or on-call duty associated with this role. Experience in pediatric procedural or ICU nursing is preferred but not mandatory for first-time applicants. All required certifications must be current prior to starting. This role involves providing care to a diverse patient population that includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient load consists of overseeing a minimum of 8 patients with various diagnoses associated with cardiovascular needs. Interdisciplinary support is available, including teams in areas such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Knowledge in specialties such as EKG, phlebotomy, and respiratory care is beneficial for success in this position. Candidates with experience managing pediatric patients during interventional procedures will have an advantage. All candidates must adhere to safety protocols and complete necessary documentation for patient care.
