- Package LTL shipments correctly so product does not arrive damaged or missing.
- Package for UPS shipments to arrive undamaged or missing parts.
- Provide accurate count on parts.
- Demonstrate the ability to correctly identify products listed on a received PO to the items that have been received.
- Account for all material received vs all the material listed on PO.
- Demonstrate the ability to properly fill out MIT forms and cards for production.
- Demonstrate the ability to determine what department the received parts for.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Experience in the fastener, screw machine, grinding, or metalworking industry preferred
- Familiarity with packing slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, and shipping documentation
- Ability to prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments accurately
- Experience receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders
- Proficiency with inventory systems, computers, and basic data entry
- Ability to operate a sit-down forklift, pallet jack, and other material-handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to use basic measuring tools to verify materials or finished parts
- Effective communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
