Tig Welder

This role offers an opportunity for a skilled TIG welder to join a busy fabrication team and perform short-run welds on cabinet equipment used in the food industry. You will use your TIG welding expertise on aluminum materials to help produce high-quality cabinetry in a clean, industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on aluminum components for cabinet equipment used in the food industry.
• Lay short-run welds with consistent quality, following established specifications and production requirements.
• Set and adjust welding machine temperatures and parameters to suit different materials and weld types.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand dimensions, tolerances, and welding requirements.
• Assist with assembly and fabrication tasks related to cabinetry production as needed.
• Inspect welds and components for accuracy, strength, and appearance, and correct defects when necessary.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area within the industrial facility.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and maintain steady workflow.

• At least 1 year of experience in TIG welding.
• Ability to set and adjust temperatures and settings on TIG welding machines.
• Hands-on experience welding aluminum materials.
• Proficiency in TIG welding techniques for short-run production work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for fabrication and welding.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Capability to work safely in an industrial fabrication environment.

• Experience with fabrication and assembly of metal cabinetry or similar products.
• Familiarity with weld inspection and basic quality checks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in a high-demand shop environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in an industrial facility that produces cabinetry for the food industry. The shop is clean and organized, supporting efficient and safe welding and fabrication work. You will work with TIG welding equipment and aluminum materials as part of a production team. The environment is typical of an industrial fabrication shop, with a focus on safety, productivity, and maintaining a professional appearance appropriate for a manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Livonia, MI.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
