About the Position

Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring Must-Have: Epic EMR Experience Description: Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high quality care to the following patient populations: Adolescent and Adult Females, Neonates. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Unit functions include labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, nursery, and NICU. There is an OR on the unit for C-sections. Staff includes midwives and OB/GYNs. Pediatric Clientists staff the nursery and NICU. Staff may be utilized in the Pediatric Department or out on Acute care as a rescue or constant observer when census is low. Basic and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring is required. NRP and STABLE certification is preferred but not required. Staff will go in on C-sections but will only be responsible for the baby and will not scrub sections. Level 2 Nursery experience is required.
