Part Time Bagger

Harris Teeter Park Plaza, located near the entry to Sea Pines on the southern tip of Hilton Head Island, SC, is hiring for full-time and part-time, days, nights, and weekends positions with flexible schedules and immediate placement available. Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer's needs, exceeding their expectations, and making every shopping visit a pleasant and satisfying experience. This requires following correct bagging procedures, providing carry-out and parcel pickup service, loading merchandise into customer vehicles, and returning shopping carts into the store. Qualifications Minimum Age: 16 years (18 years for all warehouse associates). Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training; ability to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales. Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English; ability to write simple correspondence in English; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates who only speak English. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Complete all company training including but not limited to new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, bagger technical skills, and product knowledge. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and smell; occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and reach from 6 to 72 inches; requires close vision and depth perception. Physical Demands Regular duties include standing, walking, using hands for finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, and smelling. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and reach from 6 to 72 inches. Requires close vision and depth perception.
